Today I was up and at the corner shop ready to buy my train ticket at 8am as they went on sale today from Beijing to Shanghai, but they had already sold out! I panicked a little bit as I have booked and paid for my accommodation in Shanghai for October half term.
When I got to school I started looking for flights to Shanghai and found one for £200, that’s £100 more than I would have paid if I had gone by train, but at least there were flights left.
I had grade 1A in the morning and one of the girls told her teacher that my class was “super fun” so that cheered me up a bit. After lunch I had grade 2C and there was one boy in the class that refused to do any work and I spent 45 minutes trying to get him to do his work and all he would do was argue with me or say he didn’t want to do it. I came out of the class exhausted and with a headache!
Jodie and Milzie are still staying at our apartment and I had arranged a poker night for a few of the teachers to come round and play so we had a really good evening and I won 140 RMB (£14) so I was really pleased with that, I think I am going to make it a regular thing as everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Just checked the thermometer and it’s 11pm and 22 degrees but feels quite cold, I can definitely notice a drop in temperature over the last week.
