Today the pollution levels were high again so no one was allowed outside. I had grade 1A in the morning working on phonics and this weeks fluency words. One of the children was off on Friday and Monday with head lice and came in today with a shaved head! He is still itching so I am keeping my distance.
In the afternoon I was with 2C trying to get them to improve their sentences with an adjective and grammar. I wrote a sentence on the board and asked the class how I could improve it using an adjective and they all started saying similes! At least I know that they actually understood what I taught them yesterday!
After school I was having people round for poker, it was a good night and a chance to catch up on gossip, although it got to 11pm and there were still 3 people in so we just split the winnings.
